The Glasgow Times' parent company Newsquest has announced the launch of a new rugby website based out of Glasgow, Scotland Rugby News.

The high-quality subscription site will begin its work with a focus on the Six Nations which begins on Friday but will also cover the wider Scottish game, with a key focus on Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby.

An opening offer of £1 for six months of access or £12 for a year also comes with the chance to win gold dust tickets for two to the Calcutta Cup match between Scotland and England at Murrayfield on February 24th.

It's the latest stand-alone sports site launched by the company after the success of football operations focused on Rangers, Celtic, Hearts and Hibs.

Newsquest's Head of Sport Jonny McFarlane explained his delighted to be entering the rugby market.
