A MAN has been arrested following an alleged assault at Hampden Stadium.
The incident took place during the Scottish League Cup final clash between Celtic and Rangers on February 26.
A 38-year-old man was attacked during the match.
Following an investigation by police, a 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incident.
He has been released on an undertaking and is due to appear in court in due course.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "On February 26, a 38-year-old man was assaulted within Hampden Stadium during the Scottish League Cup final between Rangers and Celtic.
"Following an investigation, officers have today arrested and charged a 34-year-old man in connection with the assault.
"He has been released on an undertaking and will appear in court at a later date."
