Rangers striker Antonio Colak has praised boss Michael Beale and stated he is "confident" of working his way back up the goalscoring charts.

The Croatian provided an assist during the recent 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock.

Colak was praised by his manager after the game for his impact on the match and the forward seemed appreciative of his manager's words.

Speaking ahead of the fixture against Hibernian, he said: "It's always good if the coach or the gaffer is pleased with your performance, I try, of course, to fit in the role with what he wants and what he expects of me personally and then also to bring in my own ideas, my own qualities whenever I'm on the pitch and to be dangerous.

"As you saw, I assist this game, next game maybe I will score. So it's all about the team and that we won this game."

The 29-year-old, who has 15 goals in 33 matches for the Ibrox side so far this season, is also hoping to end the campaign on a positive note.

He currently joint fifth in the SPFL top scorers chart alongside team-mate James Tavernier and Aberdeen's Duk.

Although, the former Malmo man has played less league games than both of these players due to having a spell on the sidelines through injury.

And he feels he can put himself amongst the goals between now and the end of the season.

"I’m really confident about that," he continued. "I know how fast it can go. As you know, there was a period where I was out a little bit then you have to fight back and I think through this you learn a lot of things for yourself and also working-wise.

"Now with the new staff and with the team, how we want to play and how things can be getting better. I think with my quality I bring then individually I can again go back on this scoring track and score a lot of goals."
