Liam Gallagher has helped a fan's 'wishes come true' at his Glasgow gig earlier this week.

The former Oasis frontman performed at the Barrowland Ballroom on Wednesday with Stone Roses' guitar John Squire.

It comes after the release of the pair's self-titled debut album earlier this month.

At the city show, Gallagher met with a man who had 'wishes' of meeting him after he was diagnosed with Motor neurone disease (MND) earlier this year.

The man's friend took to X in an effort to try and track down Liam - who jumped at the chance to help.

The man wrote on X: "A massive long shot but a mate of mine was diagnosed with MND earlier this year, and one of his wishes before he the disease takes over is to meet Liam Gallagher.

"Someone somewhere somehow make this happen through the power of social media please x"

The singer then replied, writing: "I’m sorry to hear about your mate I can sort out a meet up when I’m up in Scotland day before the gig in Glasgow or day of the gig tell him to stay cool and I’ll see him soon LG x"

The man eventually updated people on X after his friend met Liam.

He wrote: "Liam was true to his word and met Mark, thanks Liam you’re an absolute legend! Hope you enjoyed the MND single we plan on releasing. Glasgow was mega."
