Small businesses in Glasgow can showcase their offerings at a major upcoming event in the city.

The Ideal Home Show will run at the SEC from May 24 to 27 and is expected to see around 29,000 visitors over four days.

With that in mind, business owners looking to reach more customers are being encouraged to book a stall at the event by small business specialists I Do Handmade.

The firm is hosting a 'Small Biz Village' specifically aimed to give small businesses a platform for a wider audience.

Run by mother and daughter duo Wendy and Becky, I Do Handmade has been running pop-up markets since 2022.

Glasgow Times:

Becky said: “We know how tough it can be as a small business to get direct selling opportunities that are both easy to access and high in footfall.

"The Small Biz Village has been designed for crafters to get maximum exposure to a wide target audience in a reputable location.

"Book a stall for one day, or every day, this flexible opportunity is to help business owners trial selling in this sales environment, capturing the attention of a wide variety of customers, to determine whether to invest in their own kiosk in the future.

“We’re looking for all sorts of businesses to join us at Scotland’s Ideal Home Show. Despite the show’s name, this national renown exhibition has become ‘a day out’ with an interactive shopping experience.

"We also know 75% of attendees come wanting to discover gifts and accessories to purchase.  So whether you’re selling beautifully designed stationery and cards, jewellery, homeware or toys, there’s a spot waiting for you."
