A cancer charity has launched a search to find a dedicated dog to represent them.
Beatson Cancer Charity is on the hunt for its new 'Ambassadog' to be a friendly face at fundraising events and ultimately be the face of their Off The Beatson Track event next year.
The successful candidate will follow in the pawprints of three-year-old Teddi who was crowned last year's Ambassadog.
Teddi, a black German Shepherd, was entered by his owners Hazel Ann and Kevin Gilbert after Kevin, 57, was diagnosed with cancer.
The couple were inspired to put their beloved pooch up for the role as a way of staying closer to the charity that has done so much for them.
Hazel Ann, also 57, said: "We felt lost without the Beatson so when we saw the competition I thought that’s a way for us to keep connected with the Beatson and all the good work that they do and hopefully promote it and try and raise some funds for it."
Teddi took over from Milo, a Bichon Frise who was nominated by his owner Erin Phairs.
Erin was diagnosed with cancer at the age of nine, and when her treatment finished she began to suffer from PTSD and it was Milo who helped her through such a difficult time in her life.
Entries must be submitted by 6pm on Wednesday, September 20 and the winner will be announced on Tuesday, September 22.
