The bags include "essentials" and non-perishable goods that will be dropped-off at older or vulnerable people's homes.

Glasgow Times:

Young people within the team will be handing out the bags in the Toryglen area.

Deliveries will begin from Friday, December 23 and will last until Tuesday, January 3.

The group took to Facebook to share the initiative, stating that individuals that wish to use the service can do so "privately" and that the bag is completely free of charge.

Anthony Quayle, coach at Southside Boxing Academy, told the Glasgow Times: "We had a fund to do this initiative through lockdown, but with the cost-of-living, we have decided to do it ourselves to help local people.

"We will be delivering the food to vulnerable and older people, and people hit hard by the cost-of-living crisis.

"It is just such a shame that in this modern world people are needing help to eat."

Glasgow Times:

Anthony added that the team have rallied up a "massive" box of goods for a local foodbank.
