Eagle-eyed fans or even regular gym-goers might have caught a glimpse of superstar Olivia Rodrigo in Glasgow this week.

The Bad Idea Right? songstress descended the steps of the Blythswood Hotel on Tuesday dressed in jeans and a jumper.

After heading out of the plush hotel with her boyfriend Louis Partridge and the pair were seen heading to PureGym on Bath Street.

Glasgow Times:

Olivia is staying in Glasgow as she enjoys a two-night stint at the Hydro for her Guts World Tour.

And her current abode is one that has proved popular with celebrities and famous faces visiting Glasgow in the past.

Who has stayed at the Blythswood in Glasgow before?

Ariana Grande

Glasgow Times:

In 2019, the American singer was hoping for a low-key stay in Glasgow during her Sweetener tour when she reportedly checked into the £2500-a-night penthouse suite and used a separate entrance to avoid paparazzi.

This was thrown into disarray when she was evacuated from the penthouse along with other guests due to a fire alarm.

As she filmed the incident and shared it with her millions of Instagram followers, guests waiting outside the hotel happened to spot Sir Billy Connolly who had been enjoying a much more under-the-radar stay.

Westlife

Glasgow Times:

The Irish boyband stayed at the Blythswood in November 2022 during their tour and were said to have chatted away to fellow guests during their few nights' stay.

One guest, Shaz, was treated to an overnight stay by her partner at the luxury spot and couldn't believe when she bumped into Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, and Nicky Byrne.

She said: "Awh honestly such lovely guys, their wives were too."

Gordon Ramsay

Glasgow Times:

The TV chef was spotted out and about in the city numerous times back in summer 2022 when he was in town filming his show Future Food Stars.

On one occasion the Kitchen Nightmares legend stopped by the Blythswood and was kind enough to pose for a photo with a staff member and a four-legged friend.

During that same visit to Glasgow, Gordon stopped by Ox & Finch for a bite to eat and visited the training ground of his beloved Rangers.

Hugh Jackman

Glasgow Times:

The Greatest Showman himself joined a host of Celtic stars at the Blythswood in 2019 for the launch of the hotel's new £1 million restaurant.

Along with Scott Sinclair, Henrik Larsson, Frank McAvennie, Murdo MacLeod and Simon Donnelly, the Aussie enjoyed an evening at Bo & Birdy amid the glitz and glamour at the city's five-star hotel.

Usher

Glasgow Times:

Who knew that waiting on your regular number 19 bus in the morning could lead to an encounter with a global superstar?

That was the case for one Glasgow student in 2015. Holly Hughes, 19, was standing at the bus stop on Blythswood Square where the 19 or 19a stops when she bumped into Usher.

The OMG hitmaker was performing at the Hydro on his tour and he was all too happy to pose for a photo with the delighted fan.

Holly said she has also rubbed shoulders with Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj and 5 Seconds of Summer while waiting for her bus.
