A team of NHS staff in Glasgow are participating in this year's Kiltwalk for a cancer support centre.
The team of 26 is a mix of staff at the Property and Capital Planning Department, based at Gartnavel Hospital, and their families who will raise funds for Maggie's.
Some will undertake the 23-mile Mighty Stride, others the 14-mile Big Stroll, and a few will bring their children along for the 3-mile Wee Wander.
Heather Griffin, project director at the department, suggested the idea as a way of giving back to the centre.
She said: "Some of us have friends and relatives who have been helped by Maggie’s and we are proud to have this opportunity to support Maggie’s to continue to provide this essential support to people with cancer and their families."
Kerry Craig, centre head at Maggie’s Glasgow, said: "We’re absolutely blown away by the incredible support of our NHS colleagues.
"At Maggie’s we have a very close relationship with the NHS so it’s amazing to see such a big team take on the Kiltwalk in support of the centre.
"We’ll be cheering them on every step of the way."
Maggie’s offers free support to anyone affected by cancer, with the majority of its funding from voluntary donations.
Their centres are located alongside NHS hospitals and also provide online support.
