A popular bar and grill is set to close permanently after more than a decade to make way for a new project.
Zyka Bar and Grill in Newton Mearns has closed its doors after 12 years of serving the community.
The team are preparing to transform the space into a pizza restaurant which is expected to open by the end of next month alongside their Indian restaurant.
A spokesperson for Zyka: "Dear customers, we are sorry to announce Zyka Bar and Grill will be closing indefinitely after 12 years.
"We will miss all the wonderful customers who we got to know so well over the years.
"Don’t worry Zyka Indian restaurant will still be open as per usual on the other side of the building.
"We are currently working on the new restaurant which will be an Italian pizzeria which will be open by the end of July."
