THREE of Glasgow’s cutest kids came together to celebrate success in the Times Tot competition on Wednesday.

Eight-month-old Freddie, from Barrowfield, picked up his first place prize alongside mum Kerri Martin and gran Jackie McTaggart.

Freddie won the hearts of readers with his adorable smile and knitted baby blue outfit.

The family will be celebrating Freddie’s first Christmas with an extra £1000 and £250 worth of vouchers for East Kilbride shopping centre.

Mum Kerri, 27, said: “I’m over the moon about winning.

“My family and friends were all behind us and voted by phone, text and coupon. I had loads of people buying papers to see Freddie.

“We’ve already got everything for his Christmas sorted so we’ll save the money for him to spend in the New Year.

“This will be his first Christmas and he’s the only baby in the family so it will be a really special day.”

Nine-month-old Azaan Muhammad, collected his second prize with the help of his two sisters Iman, five, and Shavana, eight.

Mum Saeeda Muhammad, from Govanhill, put her little ones win down to the support of her husband and parents. She said: “We were all buying loads of papers but his dad especially.

“Second place out of hundreds of kids is great. Azaan is an amazing baby. He wants to be held all the time, he’s a wee attention seeker so he was loving getting his picture taken.”

Azaan will be treated to £250 Forge shopping centre voucher, a framed print and certificate.

Coming in third, was the youngest prize winner, five-month-old Calvin Hanratty.

Calvin’s mum Sinead Corrins and dad Patrick Hanratty, picked up £250 worth of vouchers for their first-born.

Sinead said: “On the day, he didn’t really like getting his photos taken because of the flash, but the pictures turned out great.

“We bought a big canvas and magnet as well with his professional picture on.

“We’re really happy about about winning because it’ll be our first Christmas as a family.  We’ve got most of his presents but we want to get a few extra clothes.”

Hundreds of proud parents and grandparents entered their little ones into the sixth Times Tot competition which took place at Clydebank, The Forge and East Kilbride shopping centre.
