Glasgow really did have the X Factor last night when one of its most famous landmarks made its debut during the hit TV talent show.
The Barrowland Ballroom made a brief appearance in the Royal Bank of Scotland’s new tale of a tenner advert.
Throughout the 60 second ad a ten pound note is passed between a number of people around the country as they go about their daily business.
At one point a fisherman gives the tenner to his daughter who is then seen at the Barrowlands on a night out with her boyfriend, she then passes the tenner to a taxi driver outside the famous music venue.
However, perhaps stealing the Barrowlands’ thunder is the song used in the advert- Out of the Blue- which was written and performed by Glasgow band Prides.
